My research explores how institutional shareholders may impact the corporate decisions – such as M&A, innovation, or investments — of firms in their portfolios. I am interested in the role of shareholder activism in this age of universal ownership by large asset management firms.
On a different front, I explore the impact of AI adoption on firm strategies and organizational structure. That is, how the demand for talent may shift in terms of occupations and skills.
My research has been published in the Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Finance, Harvard Business Review among other academic journals, as well as in various media (Financial Times, The Economist, Bloomberg, BBC). I have received several international prizes such as the Brattle Prize and presented my research at prestigious universities and congresses in finance (WFA, EFA, AFA, NBER, etc.).
