Discussant at the IESE CCG – ECGI Conference

The IESE CCG – ECGI Conference was the first organized by the IESE Center for Corporate Governance (CCG) to promote dialogue and research on corporate governance. This is the main topic of my research so I had the opportunity to participate as a discussant.

My intervention focused on discussing with the London Business School professor Alex Edams about his paper “The long-term consequences of short-term incentives”. It overcomes two challenges: identification via vesting options and estimating long-term effects via “vesting-driven “repurchases or M&A announcements.
